Phase 1: Hydro-Geological Survey & EIA 
Ksh. 100,000

A hydrogeological survey investigates the subsurface hydrology and geology of an area to assess groundwater resources, including their quality, quantity, and potential for sustainable use, often conducted before borehole drilling. 

The charges are Includes;- 

  • A Comprehensive reconnaissance,
  • Field data collection, 
  • Statutory fees for permit processing, 
  • Compiling a detailed report

Phase 2: Borehole Drilling
Ksh. 6,500

This is Approximate Rate per meter.  For Example: A 180m borehole would cost roughly Ksh. 1,170,000

  • This includes:
    • Mobilization of drilling rig to site
    • Casing (plain and slotted)
    • Gravel packing
    • 24-hour test pumping
    • Water chemical analysis

(If ground conditions require Mud Drilling, rates may range from Ksh. 14,000 to Ksh. 15,000+ per meter.)

Phase 3: Borehole Equipping 
Ksh. 800,000
  • Approximate Starting Cost: Ksh. 1,500,000
    • Submersible pump (solar or electric), control panel, down-hole pipes, water meter, and cables.
